What are English Social Events?
English Social Events are informal evenings or weekend events where English is the shared language.
Each event has a light structure, but the focus is always on conversation, interaction, and enjoyment.
You don’t need perfect English — just a willingness to take part.
Different formats, same objective
To keep things fresh and engaging, the format of our social events can vary.
Over the year, this may include:
Book Club Evenings
Read and discuss a book together, and choose future titles as a group.
Film Nights
Watch a film in English and chat about it together afterwards.
Aperitif in English
Relax and practise English conversation over a glass of wine.
Practical Workshops
Teacher-led workshops designed to support your goals, including:
- Writing your CV in English
- Preparing for an English-language interview
- Applying to English-speaking universities
Each event is facilitated by one of our teachers to ensure a welcoming, English-speaking environment.
Who are these events for?
- Adults living in the Como area who want to practise speaking English
- People who enjoy learning in a social, low-pressure setting
- Anyone who would like to meet new people while using English
Levels may vary depending on the event, but most evenings are suitable for B1 level and above.
